From SavCo, the hospitality group behind Ann Arbor favorites Sava’s and Aventura, Tavolina brings the sensory and sensual experience of our dining rooms direct to you and your guests.

Tavolina was sparked by the idea that real, honest food, delivered with passion and style could and should be experienced anywhere! For years, our loyal guests have asked us to bring the Savco Hospitality experience beyond the restaurants and into their homes, offices and places of gathering. We're eager to oblige and excited to bring the restaurant to you!

Tavolina is the Albanian word for “table”, which like in many cultures, is the heart of the home. It is at the table where many of life’s most meaningful moments are shared and it is at the table where you will experience the most exceptional gestures of generosity, warmth, and hospitality. Naturally, given Sava’s Albanian heritage and her commitment to connecting people with good food, the symbol of a table feels perfect for the newest venture.

Tiffany Salsini
Client Relations & Sales Lead 

Tiffany Salsini has been with SavCo, in a staggering variety of roles, since 2013. Beginning with the conceptualization and development of Aventura, to organization-wide hiring and training manager to most recently, director of organizational excellence, Tiffany has played an integral role in SavCo’s remarkable pace of growth. 

Tiffany started cooking with her paternal grandmother at age five, learning early and naturally how to show love through great food. Now a food business professional since 1998, Tiffany is truly one of those folks that has ‘done it all’—cheese monger, self-taught chef, general manager, and local cafe and catering business owner. This amazing, well-rounded background affords Tiffany the insight and expertise to lead Tavolina’s sales program straight to the stars, delighting palates, hearts and souls every step of the way.  

Tiffany truly loves giving great hospitality, delivering it with an unrivaled level of personal care and dedication. You'll simply be in THE best hands around.


Maggie Lukens
Event Planner

Maggie has over six years experience delivering first-class hospitality. From Seattle to Detroit, she’s covered nearly all the bases - historic four-diamond hotel, restaurants, high-end salons and spas - and is currently finishing her hospitality business degree with Carson School of Business. Maggie is our logistics, event design and operational master, her attention to detail translating into the smoothest possible weddings and events, from concept to completion.

When she's not planning fabulous shindigs, you can find her exploring her new home, shopping, finding new restaurants, rooting for the Seahawks, or hosting movie marathons.


Israel Lona
Head Chef

Chef Israel Lona has been with Savco Hospitality since October 2010, where he began at Sava's on State Street. Before delighting our guests at Sava's, Chef Israel worked for various restaurant groups where he learned many of his management skills and knowledge of culinary operations. After his time at Sava's, Israel helped to pilot Ann Arbor's original Spanish Tapas Restaurant, Aventura. Currently, Chef Israel leads a highly motivated and talented team at our very own Savco Kitchen; the kitchen that's responsible for the production of various private label products, our amazing desserts, and the creative food behind Tavolina Catering & Events. 


Ashleigh Callow
Head Pastry Chef

Ashleigh Callow is our extraordinarily talented Pastry chef, producing some of Ann Arbor's finest baked goods. Ashleigh attended culinary school at Le CordonBleu in Las Vegas with a concentration on Pastry. After graduating, she gained a wealth of experience working under some of the most highly trained pastry chefs in the business, for various hotels on the Las Vegas Strip including the Venetian and the M resort. She was also part of the team at the Cosmopolitan hotel, and most recently worked for SusieCakes Bakery in LA where she specialized in wedding cakes and other traditional baked goods.

She heads a team of 5-6 passionate chefs in our pastry kitchen which provides desserts, cakes, and pastries to Sava’s, Aventura, and Tavolina Catering & Events.

A fabulous spread is essential but events often require a little (or a lot of) extra zing to make them a success.  You may need help finding a color scheme that suits the theme of your event.  Or you’d like to do something a little extra, whether with invitations or floral arrangements, but not sure what… You’ve come to the right place. Let us help and let’s have some fun!  

A bit lower on the fun-meter is the often frustrating task of coordinating the equipment to support your event – plate rentals, linens, giveaways, etc.  We’ve planned enough events to be able to estimate how many glasses of wine your guests will drink and how many wine glasses you’ll need.
